Jeffrey Shawn Holloman passed away on July 7th, 2026. A son, brother, husband, father, friend and Pop Pop.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and life long resident of Mcleansboro, IL. Jeff truly never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. Music was one of the most important aspects of Jeff’s life from starting his day listening to albums with his morning coffee or making music with the many guitars he built himself. He held the position of Hamilton County School Custodian with high honor and was always thankful for the love and support his students and their families gave him. Mr. Jeff often told stories about how special every child he met was and would go above and beyond to make them feel welcome.
Although our time with Jeff was cut far too short, every day we spent with him was a gift. He will leave a lasting memory to everyone who he crossed paths with, and we know in our hearts he is still rock and rolling in the sky. He is already deeply missed, and we will continue to honor his memory every single day. He truly was as one of a kind as they come.
He is survived by his loving wife Laura, children Nicholas, Jedd (Heather), Madison, and Brooklyn Holloman, mother Becky Barger, brothers Kevin (Gretchen)Holloman and Anthony(Donna) Holloman, Nieces and Nephews: Krista, Rebecca Brandon, Elijah and Kody Holloman, Bryanna and Jaxsyn Johnson and his two dear grandchildren Arlo Holloman and Alivia Heil. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Dale Holloman and niece Brittany Miller. He also leaves behind lifelong friends, beloved, aunts, uncles and cousins, coworkers, and those that inspired him in return.
