Jessie Moore

Assistant General Manager

Jessie has devoted her career to supporting families with compassion and care during their most difficult moments. In 2019, Jessie entered the funeral profession. Jessie is also a proud attendee of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, where she further refined her expertise.
Outside of work, Jessie finds joy in the simple things — spending time with her loved ones and exploring the great outdoors.

In 1981 current owner, Joe Michael Harre, moved into the funeral home feeling that since he was born in this community and has had roots in the community since before the turn of the century, he could return something to Hamilton County.

Graduating from Southern Illinois University with a degree in mortuary science, he quickly integrated new modern techniques with old traditions to provide what he felt was the best possible Facilities, Service, Professional Staff, and Funeral Merchandise he could provide.

Amberlea Smith

Apprentice Funeral Director

Amberlea is proud to call Harrisburg, Illinois home and is a 2025 MSFS graduate with honors from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare—particularly caring for individuals with special needs—she brings deep compassion and dedication to her role in funeral service.
As an apprentice at Harre Funeral Home, Amberlea assists with meeting families, transportation, and coordinating funeral services. She is committed to serving her community with empathy and respect.
Outside of work, Amberlea is a devoted mother to two teenage boys. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and has a true passion for cooking and baking for those she loves.

Ginger Finley

Office Manager

Ginger is honored to support families with compassion, kindness, and understanding during some of life’s most difficult moments. She believes a listening ear and genuine care can make all the difference.
Before joining Harre Funeral Home, Ginger served as the Library Director at McCoy Memorial Library in McLeansboro for nearly 10 years, where she found great joy in serving and connecting with her community.
Outside of work, Ginger enjoys learning about crime, law, and the justice system, as well as virtual reality gaming, emerging technology, and artificial intelligence.
Ginger is grateful to continue serving the McLeansboro community and hopes to make every person she meets feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
